askblue grows 20% in a year of renewed commitment to the international market with the opening of the operation in Brazil
The company reaches a turnover of 19.8 million euros and opens offices in the Brazilian cities of Goiânia and São Paulo

askblue achieved a turnover of 19.8 million euros in 2022, representing a growth of 20% compared to the previous year.

“With this result, askblue continues its path of consolidation in the national market and growth internationally, improving its ability to respond to market requests, with the launch of new offers, among which I highlight Quality Assurance, essential in contexts of digital transition,” says the CEO of askblue, Pedro Nicolau.

Last year marked a new chapter of growth, with askblue securing new customers in relevant sectors such as Energy and Transportation. The company also consolidated its presence in the financial and insurance sector, where it has been ensuring business-critical Application Management (AMs) operations with reference clients for several years.

There was also a high demand for advanced services from Centers of Excellence (CoEs), related to information systems architecture assessments, performance, and management of application parks.

“This is a service where we can apply all of our advanced technical knowledge, helping our customers to solve specific, highly complex problems,” explains Pedro Nicolau.

In the international market, which accounts for 7% of turnover, the company has established partnerships in various parts of the world, with projects in Europe, the United States of America, and the Middle East.

In 2022, askblue also moved forward with the opening of two offices in Brazil, in Goiânia and São Paulo, which are focused on providing digital transformation solutions for the financial, industrial, agribusiness, and pharmaceutical sectors, not only for local projects, as well as for the company’s global operation.

“To support this growth strategy in Brazil, askblue established partnerships with higher education institutions to attract talent,” says Pedro Nicolau.

Employee training is a priority, and the company continues to invest in gyms for newcomers.

“In 2022, we held the first academy with employees from Brazil and Portugal, with very positive results,” highlights the company’s CEO.

10-year anniversary

askblue completes its tenth anniversary in 2023 and expects to reach a turnover of 22 million euros. In terms of strategy, the company intends to continue to develop its activity with its main customers, reinforcing confidence in the delivery of increasingly complex projects, while at the same time wanting to explore new markets and services.

“In this area, our commitment is to continue international growth, develop new offers and open the door to new customers, from other sectors with which we have not yet worked. As we mark the tenth anniversary, we are also going to invest in the askblue brand, so that it has greater visibility and recognition in the market, not only by potential clients but also by candidates to work with us. The business can only grow if we are a good company to work for, with internal opportunities, monitoring, the possibility of growth and recognition of employees,” says Pedro Nicolau.
